Are your products cruelty-free? Yes. Products are tested on me and my (willing) loved ones only.

Are you products plastic-free? No plastic ever. 100% guarantee.

Do you use plastic to help make the products? No. The materials I currently use are made from glass, wood, bamboo, silicon, and stainless steel. I use compostable gloves for sanitary product development as well.

Are your products organic? Not entirely. As a small business, I do not hold any of the official certifications, however, most of the ingredients I use are officially certified. All ingredients, and their specifications, are listed on each product page for you to review.

Are your products vegan? No, but they are mostly comprised of plants. Currently, the only animal product used is local, high quality, and responsibly harvested 100% beeswax.

Are your products safe for sensitive, reactive skin or during pregnancy and breastfeeding? All of Prospect Apothecary products are gentle, tend to be non-irritating, and come in essential oil-free varieties. However, please consult your doctor or local herbalist before beginning to use any herbal body care product, especially while pregnant and/or breastfeeding. I also recommend performing a standard patch test before using a product liberally: Apply a small amount to your forearm of the back of your hand and wait 24 hours. If irritation occurs, discontinue use immediately.

How long do your products last? Oil formulations last 6-8 months at peak freshness with proper storage (remember to close that container and keep it in a cool, dry spot)

Where do you ship? The continental US only.

Do you offer free shipping? Not at this time, but look out for this in 2023.

Do you sell products locally in Davis? Not currently. Stay tuned for more information in 2023.

Do you offer free samples? Not currently, but I hope to in the future as the range expands.

Do you offer gift cards? Gift cards will be available for the holiday shop launch on 11/25.

What is your policy for returns and exchanges? Given the nature of my business, I cannot accept returns and exchanges. I encourage everyone to be aware of their own sensitivities and carefully review my fully-transparent ingredient lists. However, if a product is not to your liking, please kindly reach out so that we can discuss. I'm happy to provide 20% off your next purchase and personally help you find a more suitable option.
